Baseball Knocked Off By St. Thomas Aquinas In Series Opener

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. The Queens College baseball team continued East Coast Conference play Friday with a double header against St. Thomas Aquinas.  In the opener, the Knights fell 22-2.  Game two was suspended after seven innings due to darkness with the contest knotted at four.

In the opener, Joe Morris posted two hits off the bench, while sophomore Karl Klesin and junior Jorge Ruiz tallied runs batted in.

The Spartans led 9-0 after two innings, and later pushed across eight runs in the sixth inning.  For STAC, Greg Dawber and Andre Jackson each recorded home runs, while Brandon Fischer had three runs batted in.

Matt Kostalos (4-0) picked up the win for St. Thomas Aquinas, while John Dondero (0-3) took the loss for Queens.
