Dan Walsh Reaches Base Twice in Loss to New Haven

West Haven, Conn. - The Queens College baseball team fell to New Haven, 16-2, in a baseball game played in West Haven, Connecticut, on Thursday.  Dan Walsh reached base twice and scored a run for the Knights.

 

Queens scored lone runs each in the fourth and seventh innings.  In the fourth, Walsh led off with walk.  He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, got to third on a ground out and scored when Joe Morris worked a walk, but the ball four pitch got past the catcher.

 

QC added a run in the seventh as well.  Matt Walsh hit a grounder to third that was misplayed for an error.  Walsh advanced to second on the play.  Peter Caravousanos followed with an RBI single.  The Chargers went on to win 16-2.

 

The Queens College baseball team returns to action on Friday, April 24, when they face LIU Post on Long Island.  The first pitch is slated for 3:00 PM.
