Game Two

The Queens College baseball team entered the top of the seventh down one run to the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights. In the top of the seventh, the Knights put together a three-run inning, giving themselves a chance for the win.

With one out and two runners on base, Eyerman rapped a game-tying single to right, scoring Tim Francis. After that single, UB starter Brian O'Keefe was pulled for Mike Olszyk. Olszyk proceeded to allow LoBello to bring home the go-ahead run with a single to right field, which plated Muller.  The Knights insurance run would come courtesy of a Mazzella sacrifice fly, which scored Eyerman. O'Keefe was saddled with the loss and is now 2-3 on the season for Bridgeport.

On the mound for the Knights, another freshman pitcher in John Dondero went the distance and recorded his second win of the season. Dondero (2-1) surrendered just one run on four hits in his seven-inning effort. He punched out three via the strikeout and also allowed three walks. University of Bridgeport's lone run came in the bottom of the fifth, when Jesse Solar drove in Matt Gagne.
