FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College baseball team got two-hit performances from sophomore Joe Salanitri (W. Islip, N.Y.) and junior Warren Kelly (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) Tuesday afternoon at Ray Metski Field, but it was not enough for the Knights, who fell to visiting Dominican College by a 7-2 margin.

Salanitri ripped a one-out double to left-center field in the bottom of the third inning, and came home when junior Anthony Mazzella (Wantagh, N.Y.) singled up the middle to put the hosts on the board.

Kelly hit a two-out single up the middle in the next frame, and came home two batters later when junior Rob Bernardo (Staten Island, N.Y.) singled back through the box to account for the Queens scoring on the day.

Head coach Tom Sowinski's Knights are back in action Wednesday afternoon, as they play host to Concordia College in the front end of a home-and-home set. First pitch at Ray Metski Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.
