COLONIA, NJ. – In the first East Coast Conference men's and women's cross country weekly report sheet released Tuesday afternoon two Queens College men's and women's cross country student-athletes were honored for their performances.
On the men's side, senior
John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.) earned a Honor Roll spot, while on the women's side junior
Rachel Mow (Esopus, N.Y.) awarded a Honor Roll spot.
Honor Roll - John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.)
Ray led all Knights and finished as the second-fastest ECC runner at the Adelphi Panthers Invitational on Friday afternoon, placing 10th in a field of 107 runners. Paced by a 5:22.1 mile average, Ray finished the 4.97 mile course in 26:40.8 to lead Queens to a sixth-place team finish out of 14 teams.
Honor Roll - Rachel Mow (Esopus, N.Y.)
Mow led all Knights and finished as the third-fastest ECC runner at the Adelphi Panthers Invitational on Friday afternoon, placing ninth in a field of 98 runners. Paced by a 6:31.5 mile average, Mow finished the 3.11 mile course in 20:17.3 to lead Queens to a seventh-place team finish out of 13 teams.
Next Meet:
Following a week off the Knights return to Bethpage State Park on Saturday, Sept. 21 to compete in the Golden Eagles Invitational hosted by St. Joseph's College – Long Island.
