FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College softball team returns to East Coast Conference play on Saturday (Mar. 30) afternoon as they travel to Staten Island for a doubleheader against the Dolphins of College of Staten Island.
Scouting the Knights (7-8 Overall, 2-0 ECC Record)
- Head coach Amy Delmore and the Knights enter the week with an overall record of 7-8 and 2-0 in conference play. Queens opened ECC play on a strong note sweeping Mercy at home last Thursday (Mar. 21) afternoon.
- On Tuesday the Knights dropped a pair of non-conference games to Caldwell in Flushing.
- Freshman utility Caylea Campbell (Murrieta, CA) leads the way on both sides of the field as the rookie holds a team-high .394 batting average with 13 hits, three doubles, three home runs, and three runs scored, three walks to go with 12 RBI.
- In the circle, the rookie has recorded five wins in 54.0 innings pitched allowing 56 hits, 19 earned runs, 13 walks, and 41 strikeouts.
- Campbell has named three spots on the ECC Weekly Report Sheet.

- While junior center fielder Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.) is batting .302 with 13 hits, four doubles, three home runs, four walks, 10 runs scored, and nine RBI.
- On Monday (Mar. 25) afternoon Baez earned her first ECC Honor Roll spot of the year.

- Staten Island enters the week with an overall record of 9-13 and 2-0 in conference play. The Dolphins opened ECC play with a 2-0 sweep against D'Youville last week and are coming off a 1-1 non-conference split against Goldey-Beacom on Monday (Mar. 25) afternoon.
- The Knights lead the overall series 8-4 and are riding a six-game winning streak against the Dolphins having earned a four-game series sweep in 2023.
- Anissa Acosta leads the offense batting .433 with 29 hits, eight doubles, one home run, 10 walks, 13 runs scored, and 14 RBI.
- While Aileen Balderas is batting .425 with 31 hits, six doubles, one triple, two home runs, two walks, 10 RBI, and 18 runs scored.
- In the circle, Kennedie Ruth leads the team with five wins having pitched 45.1 innings allowing 31 hits, 27 earned runs, 27 walks, and 21 strikeouts.

The Knights will home an eight-game homestand beginning on Tuesday (Apr. 2) afternoon as they welcome the Lions of Molloy University to town in ECC play. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
