Game One Recap – Queens 1, D'Youville 11
Queens collected seven hits in the opener, led by junior
Kadie Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y.), who posted a multi-hit performance.
The Knights trailed 1-0 after the opening inning but threatened immediately in the bottom half. With two outs, Cain singled through the right side and junior
Olivia Wanser (Westbury, N.Y.) drew a walk to put two aboard, but the Saints escaped the jam.
Queens placed at least one runner on base in every inning, but D'Youville limited the damage throughout the contest to claim the opener.
Game Two Recap – Queens 2, D'Youville 1
The Knights answered in the nightcap with a 10-hit attack and a strong effort in the circle. Cain recorded her second multi-hit game of the day, finishing 3-for-4 with an RBI. Wanser added two hits and an RBI, while junior
Sienna Denino (North Babylon, N.Y.) went 3-for-3 with a run scored. Parascandola and rookie
Rachel Salgado (Brentwood, N.Y.) each added a hit, with Parascandola scoring a run.
Rookie right-hander
Nellie Donahue (Levittown, N.Y.) delivered another standout performance, tossing her 11th complete game of the season to earn her team-leading seventh victory.
After Donahue stranded a runner in the top of the first, Queens struck first in the bottom half. Parascandola reached on her 55th career hit by pitch and Cain followed with a single. A wild pitch moved both runners into scoring position before Wanser lined an RBI single to left, giving the Knights a 1-0 lead.
Donahue worked out of another jam in the second, and Queens added an insurance run in the bottom of the inning when Cain singled home Denino for a 2-0 advantage.
The rookie continued to keep the Saints in check through the middle innings before D'Youville broke through in the fifth with a two-out RBI double to trim the deficit to 2-1. Donahue responded with a strikeout to leave the tying run stranded.
She added another key strikeout in the sixth after a two-out single, then closed the door in the seventh by retiring the Saints in order to seal the victory.
Queens finished the season on a winning note, earning a Senior Day split in their final games of 2026.
