FLUSHING, N.Y. – With East Coast Conference play officially underway, the Queens College softball team gets set to host three doubleheaders in four days before hitting the road to conclude an action packed for the Knights
The Knights open the week hosting the College of Staten Island Dolphins on Tuesday (Mar. 28) afternoon before taking a break from conference play. The Yellowjackets of American International College come to town on Thursday (Mar. 30) afternoon before welcoming the Chargers of Dominican University on Friday (Mar. 31) afternoon in non-conference play.
Queens concludes the week returning to ECC play as they travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. on Sunday (Apr. 2) afternoon with a matchup against the Lions of Molloy University.
Scouting the Knights (Overall Record: 2-14, 1-1 ECC)
The Knights went 1-3 on the week as they suffered three tough losses before ending the week with a comeback victory over D'Youville University on Sunday afternoon with a 9-8 walk-off victory to improve their record to 1-1 in ECC play.
While on Monday (Mar. 13) afternoon sophomore
Ann Grimshaw (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) earned an East Coast Conference Honor Roll spot becoming the second Knights to be awarded a weekly honor roll spot this season.

Leading the Way
- Senior Myaisha Kelly (Albany, N.Y.) leads the way with a team-high batting average of .429 with six hits, one home run, tied for first with four RBI, and one run scored.
- The senior led the way in the comeback victory over DYU with two hits, three RBI as she recorded her first home run in Flushing.
- She would earn her first victory in the pitching circle as she entered game two of Sunday's DH in relief.
- Sophomore Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.) is batting .306 with 11 hits, two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored.
- The sophomore has tallied three multi-hit games with a season-best three hits against Embry-Riddle (Mar. 11).
- While Grimshaw is batting .245 with a team-high 12 hits, three doubles, and has driven in four runs.

The Dolphins enter Flushing with an overall record of 8-14 and a 2-2 record in conference play and have won their last four games including a sweep over D'Youville on Monday afternoon.
Last season the Knights went 3-1 against the Dolphins as they earned a doubleheader split in Staten Island before earning a senior day sweep in Flushing.
As a team, the Dolphins are batting .273 with 156 hits, 73 RBI, 23 doubles, three triples, six home runs, and 81 runs scored with 47 walks in 571 at-bats.
Mariah Carcano leads the Dolphins with a batting average of .406 with 28 hits, six RBI, and 11 runs scored. While Anissa Acosta is batting .262 with a team-high 21 RBI having tallied 17 hits, 11 runs scored, with seven doubles and three home runs.
Alexis Miramontes leads the Dolphins with a team-high four wins on the season.

American International College enters Flushing with an overall record of 3-17 and are on a five-game losing streak with losses to Southern Connecticut State University and Bridgeport.
Thursday's doubleheader will be the Knights matchup against the Yellowjackets for the first time since March 23, 2014, when the Knights earned a doubleheader split at home.
Queens are 9-7 against the non-conference foe and hold a 7-5 home record against the NE10 foe.
As a team, the Yellowjackets are batting .265 with 139 hits, 22 doubles, two triples, two home runs with 54 RBI, 58 runs scored, earned 40 walks in 524 at-bats.
Alexis Jimenez leads the offense batting .339 with 19 hits, two doubles, six RBI and six runs scored. While Victoria Andrade is batting .327 with 17 hits, two doubles, six runs scored, and a team-high seven RBI.
Three separate Yellowjackets have combined for the three wins on the season.

Friday's non-conference matchup against the Chargers will be the first meeting since the 2017 season when Queens earned a doubleheader split at home on March 25, 2017.
The Knights are 8-11 overall at home with the last 10 matches going in the favor of the Chargers of 6-4.
As a team, the Chargers are batting .256 with 133 hits, 16 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs, 63 RBI, 68 runs scored, and have earned 49 walks in 519 at-bats.
Chloe McIntosh leads the offense batting .328 with 22 hits, three doubles, four RBI, and 16 runs scored, while Madison Walker leads the team with 18 RBI holding a .274 batting average with 17 hits, two doubles, five home runs, and eight runs scored.
Emily Baxter leads the Chargers with two wins in the circle.

Last season, the Knights ended a six-game losing streak to the Lions by earning a home doubleheader split on April 19, 2022. It was the first win over the conference foe since April 8, 2021. The Lions have taken seven of the last 10 meetings against the Knights.
Currently in 22 games, the Lions are batting .284 with 167 hits, 30 doubles, 2 triples, 11 home runs with 89 RBI with 106 runs scored, while earning 44 walks in 587 at-bats.
Karsyn Eaton leads the team batting .367 with 22 hits, six doubles, nine RBI and has scored eight runs. While Alex Burns leads the team with 20 RBI while holding a batting average of .262 with 17 hits, four doubles, one triple, and three home runs with 10 runs scored.
