FLUSHING, N.Y. – East Coast Conference play resumes as the Queens College baseball team opens a three-game series against the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College Friday (Apr. 15) afternoon in Flushing.
The Knights will conclude the series in Rockland County, New York with a Saturday (Apr. 16) doubleheader against the Spartans at Clover Stadium.

St. Thomas Aquinas College Series History
In 74 games played against the Spartans, the Knights are 25-49 dating back to the 2000 season. In Flushing, the Knights are 10-24, while on the road they are 13-24.
In the last 10 games played the Knights are 3-7 with all three wins coming at home. Queens will be looking to keep the home game streak going on Friday while looking for their first road win since the 2018 season when Queens won 10-6 on March 25.

Queens
(16-9 overall, 9-0 ECC) are on an eight-game win streak and are coming off a 14-8 midweek victory over Post.
The Knights moved up to the ninth spot in the NCBWA poll released on Monday afternoon.
As a team, the Knights are batting .291, .874 OPS, and .464 slugging % with 233 hits, 141 RBIs, 26 home runs, and are 36-39 in stolen bases attempts.
Senior
Louis Antos (West Islip, N.Y.) was named ECC Player of the Week for the third straight week as he took last week's performance to a new level as he led the way with a scorching .714 batting average, an on-base percentage of .733, and a .857 slugging percentage. Antos went 10-for-14 with two doubles, three RBI, and two walks as he tallied three straight games of three hits or more in the three-game sweep over CSI. He also scored six runs as he reached base 12 times as Queens swept their third straight ECC series.
On the season, Antos is batting .506 with OPS of 1.432, .852 slugging % with 41 hits, 10 doubles, six home runs, and 23 RBIs.
On Apr. 4, Antos was named ECC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Antos is the second Knights player to be named Player of the Week after junior
Jayson Rodopoulos (Scarsdale, N.Y.) earned the honors back on Feb. 28.
On Apr. 7, Antos was named NCBWA East Regional Player of the Week becoming the second Queens College player to earn the honors this season.
While freshman
Marc Cisco (Long Island City, N.Y.) was named ECC Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time this season.
Over the weekend, the rookie went 6-for-11 with five runs, a triple, one RBI, two walks for a .545 batting average, .643 on-base percentage, and a .727 slugging percentage. Cisco tallied his 12th multi-hit game of the season, including his fourth three-hit performance, in the game one victory over Staten Island on Saturday afternoon.
While Cisco is batting .437 with a 1.205 OPS, .678 slugging % with 38 hits, five doubles, two triples, four home runs, and 22 RBIs.
Scouting the Spartans
St. Thomas Aquinas (
13-16 overall, 6-3 ECC) enters Queens on a one-game losing skid having lost to nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University 12-3.
As a team, the Spartans s are batting .288, .399 OPS, and .401 slugging % with 185 runs scored on 285 hits.
The offense is led by Andrew Jemison batting .320 with 39 hits, nine doubles, a triple, two home runs, and 24 RBIs. While Andrew Guerra is batting .321 with 34 hits, seven doubles, two triples, and 21 RBIs.

The Knights resume non-conference action Tuesday (Apr. 19) afternoon against Jefferson University Rams. The first pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
