FLUSHING, N.Y. – Non-Conference play returns as the Queens College baseball team travels to Waterbury, Conn to conclude their four-game series against the Post University Eagles Tuesday (Apr. 12) afternoon.

The Knights are 3-0 this season against the Eagles having taken the Myrtle Beach DH before taking a 6-3 victory in Flushing on March 8
th. It will be the first road trip to Waterbury since the 2003 season which saw Queens win 11-7.
Scouting the Knights
Queens
(15-9 overall) are on a seven-game win streak having swept College of Staten Island to move to 9-0 in conference play.
The Knights moved up to the ninth spot in the NCBWA poll released on Monday afternoon.
As a team, the Knights are batting .290, .860 OPS, and .451 slugging % with 221 hits, 127 RBIs, 23 home runs, and are 35-37 in stolen bases attempts.
Senior
Louis Antos (West Islip, N.Y.) was named ECC Player of the Week for the third straight week as he took last week's performance to a new level as he led the way with a scorching .714 batting average, an on-base percentage of .733, and a .857 slugging percentage. Antos went 10-for-14 with two doubles, three RBI, and two walks as he tallied three straight games of three hits or more in the three-game sweep over CSI. He also scored six runs as he reached base 12 times as Queens swept their third straight ECC series. On the season, Antos is batting .500 with OPS of 1.406, .821 slugging % with 39 hits, 10 doubles, five home runs, and 18 RBIs.
On Apr. 7, Antos was named NCBWA East Regional Player of the Week becoming the second Queens College player to earn the honors this season.
While freshman
Marc Cisco (Long Island City, N.Y.) was named ECC Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time this season.
Over the weekend, the rookie went 6-for-11 with five runs, a triple, one RBI, two walks for a .545 batting average, .643 on-base percentage, and a .727 slugging percentage. Cisco tallied his 12th multi-hit game of the season, including his fourth three-hit performance, in the game one victory over Staten Island on Saturday afternoon.
While Cisco is batting .429 with a 1.153 OPS, .643 slugging % with 36 hits, four doubles, a triple, four home runs, and 20 RBIs.
Scouting the Eagles
Post (
13-19 overall) is coming off a 3-1 weekend having split conference series' against Jefferson before sweeping Dominican College Sunday afternoon.
As a team, the Eagles are batting .275, .777 OPS, and .404 slugging % with 207 runs scored on 286 hits.
The offense is led by Jimmy Brennan batting .358 with 38 hits, seven doubles, four home runs, and 33 RBIs on the season. While Robert Olah is batting .344 with a team-high 42 hits, five doubles, seven home runs, and 36 RBIs.
Next Series
The Knights return to ECC play as they open a three-game conference series in Flushing as the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College to town. The first pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. The series will conclude on Saturday (Apr. 16) afternoon with a doubleheader in Sparkill, N.Y.
