FLUSHING, N.Y. – Non-Conference play resumes as the Queens College baseball team travel to Garden City, N.Y. with a matchup against the Panthers of Adelphi University Tuesday afternoon.

Adelphi Series History
Tuesday meeting with the 66th meeting between both programs with the Knights trailing 17-48. The first meeting took place back in the 1992 season and the Knights are meeting the Panthers for the first time since the 2017 season. 
 
In Garden City, Queens is 7-24 but were victorious in their last meeting on April 30, 2017, as the Knights won 7-2. 
 
Scouting the Knights
 
Queens (8-8 overall) are coming off an East Coast Conference sweep over D'Youville. But the Knights are on a five-game losing skid in their last five non-conference games. 
 
The Knights are receiving votes in the NCBWA East Region Poll. 
 
As a team, the Knights are batting .239, .717 OPS, .348 slugging % with 118 hits, 57 RBIs, nine home runs, and are 23-24 in stolen bases attempts. 
 
Junior centerfielder Jayson Rodopoulos (Scarsdale, N.Y.) lead the offense batting a team-high .382 with an OPS of 1.104 with 21 hits, nine RBIs, and 7-7 in stolen bases. 
 
Senior Louis Antos (West Islip, N.Y.) is coming off huge ECC series against D'Youville batting .417 with a .533 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage as he went 5-for-12 with a double, two home runs, three walks, and five RBI in the Knights' ECC sweep over D'Youville. On Saturday, the West Islip native went 4-for-7 as he led Queens' offense on the day, tallying three extra-base hits and five RBI.
 
On Mar. 28, Antos was named ECC Player of the Week for his performance. Antos is the second Knights player to be named Player of the Week after Rodopoulos earned the honors back on Feb. 28.
 
Scouting the Saints
 
Adelphi (12-4 overall) enters the non-conference matchup on a seven-game winning streak having beaten Southern New Hampshire University, Bloomsburg, American International College.
 
In 16 games, the Panthers are batting .353, .441 OBP, .538 slugging, and have tallied 131 runs, with 17 home runs. 
 
Kyle Olson leads the offense batting .492 with 30 hits, 10 doubles, and 17 RBIs, while Michael Draskin holds a batting average of .450 with 27 hits, 11 doubles, three home runs and leads the Panthers with a team-high 21 RBIs.
 
Next Series
 
The Knights return to Flushing as they open a five-game homestand beginning with Caldwell University Cougars on Thursday (Mar. 31) afternoon. The first pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
