FLUSHING, N.Y. – Rain forecasted on Saturday in Flushing has shifted a three-game series for the Queens College baseball team into a Sunday doubleheader against Assumption College Greyhounds.

Assumption Series History
The Knights will meet the Greyhounds for the fourth & fifth time in program history with the Knights holding a 2-1 series lead. Queens swept the first doubleheader between both teams on March 17, 2018, before the Greyhounds won the last game of the three-game series the next day. 
 
Scouting the Knights
 
Queens (5-5 overall) enters the week on a two-game skid having dropped the doubleheader to Franklin Pierce Friday afternoon. 
 
In the latest NCBWA East Region poll released on Monday (Mar. 14), the Knights dropped out of the top 10 of the East Region poll but received three votes to stay in the mix. 
 
Freshman second basemen Marc Cisco (Long Island City, N.Y.) leads the offense batting a team-high .457, .571 slugging %, and .500 on-base % with 16 hits, team-high four doubles, and 11 RBIs. While junior center fielder Jayson Rodopoulos (Scarsdale, N.Y.) is batting a career-high .447, .737 slugging %, and .511 on-base % with a team-high 17 hits, three doubles, triple, two home runs, and has driven in eight runs. He has successfully stolen six bases on the season. 
 
Both Rodopoulos and Cisco earned top honors on Feb. 28 from the East Coast Conference office with Rodopoulos being named Player of the week and Cisco being named Rookie of the week. 
 
On Wednesday (Mar. 2) Rodopoulos was named NCBWA East Region Player of the week. 
 
Scouting the Wildcats
 
Assumption (4-7 overall) enter Sunday have dropped their last two games to Southern New Hampshire and American International College. 
 
Emilio Acosta leads the offense with a batting average of .282 with 11 hits, including three doubles, and is tied with a team-high seven RBIs on the season. while Kevin Cox and Connor Wironen have tied with Acosta with 11 hits with Cox tied for first with three doubles on the season. 
 
Next Series
 
The Knights will hit the road for the first time this season as they take on Felician University Golden Falcons on Wednesday (Mar. 23) afternoon. The first pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
