Box Score 2 FLUSHING, N.Y. (Mar. 8, 2020) - The Queens College softball team returned home from the squad's season-opening Florida trip on Sunday (Mar. 8) following the Knights' final two games that took place on Saturday (Mar. 7) against West Liberty University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Queens was unable to beat the Hilltoppers in either game, losing by scores of 4-0 and 11-2 and being limited to just one hit in both games.
Jessica Hickey broke up the no-hitter in the first game with a seventh-inning infield single while
Emma Wimmer had an infield single in the bottom of the fifth inning in the proverbial nightcap. The Knights scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning in Game 2 on a pair of West Liberty errors.
Queens returns home with an 0-10 record on the season and the Knights will host Chestnut Hill on Saturday (Mar. 14) at 12 p.m.
