PHILADELPHIA, PA. - The Queens College lacrosse team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 13-6 victory over Holy Family Saturday afternoon.  Freshman Patriece Ausili (Ridge, N.Y.) led the Knights with four goals in the game, while classmates Lauren Gentile (Deer Park, N.Y.) and Margaret Iavarone (Stony Brook, N.Y.) had three goals each.

QC never trailed in the game, and jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the Tigers cut the deficit in half.  Two more goals by the Knights pushed the lead to three with 9:32 left in the first period.  Two more goals by Holy Family pushed them within one, 4-3.  The Knights closed the half with four goals to take a five goal lead into half.

In the second half, Queens opened with four goals to take a 12-3 lead.  From there, the Tigers outscored the Knights 3-1 over the final 6:15 of play.

Queens is back in action Tuesday afternoon at Philadelphia U.  First draw is slated for 4:30 pm.
