BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Apr. 20, 2019) - The Queens College women's lacrosse team scored three second-half goals on Saturday (Apr. 20) but could not manage any other offensive output as the Knights fell by a final score of 21-3 to Bridgeport at Knights Field in Connecticut.
Chloe Herzog tallied a goal and an assist for Queens while
Lauren Gentile and
Sarah Koehler each added a goal in the Knights' final East Coast Conference game of the season. Koehler won four draw controls and
Patriece Ausili snatched two victories in the draw circle for QC on the day, while
Nicole Cutrone led the defensive effort with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Cat Monteleone also contributed three ground balls on defense for the Knights with
Jess Serpe making three saves in net.
Bridgeport was led by a seven-point performance from Barbara Orsini, who scored five-goals and added two assists for the Purple Knights in the win. Courtney Forry added four goals and two assists as well.
Queens will wrap up the 2019 season on Thursday (Apr. 25) with a 3 p.m. contest at home in Flushing against Post University.
