Sarah Koehler had a goal and an assist for the Queens College women's lacrosse team on Wednesday (Apr. 17) as the Knights fell to NYIT in a 21-3 contest at President's Stadium in Old Westbury.
Patriece Ausili and
Lauren Gentile also added goals for the Knights (2-13, 1-6 ECC) in the defeat as NYIT (11-3, 5-0 ECC) scored the first fifteen goals of the contest. Koehler and
Chloe Herzog each won a team-high two draw controls while sophomore goalie
Jess Serpe had 13 saves in net and four ground balls to help lead the Knights on defense.
Sara Giammarella scored five goals for the host Bears as Jaclyn Grzelaczyk added two goals and seven assists for a nine-point effort in the win.
Queens will conclude its conference schedule on Saturday (Apr. 20) with an afternoon contest against Bridgeport at 1 p.m. in Connecticut.
