CALDWELL, N.J. - The Queens College lacrosse team moved to 4-1 on the season with a 7-6 victory over Caldwell Thursday afternoon in non-conference play.

Freshman Patriece Ausili (Ridge, N.Y.) led the Knights with four goals, while senior Courtney Canavan (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) had two tallies, including the game-winner.  In net, senior Kristen Ancona (East Islip, N.Y.) had seven saves.

The Knights never trailed in the contest, racing out to an early 2-0 lead on early goals by Canavan and Ausili.  Caldwell cut the deficit in half before Ausili's second of the game pushed the lead back to two, 3-1.  A final tally by the Cougars.

QC registered the first two goals of the second period, jumping out to a 5-2 lead.  From there, Caldwell countered with a 4-1 surge, knotting the game at six with 12 minutes on the clock.  Canavan picked up the game winner with 8:25 remaining.

The Knights are back in action Saturday afternoon at Holy Family (12:00 pm).
