Liz Weber. Gonzalez made it 2-0, LIU Post when she scored on
a wild pitch, several tosses later.

catalyst. With two-outs, the centerfielder singled to
left-center. She went to third when the following batter,
Nicole Hagenah, got a base hit. With runners on the corners
and two-outs, Knights pitcher Isabelle Yaroch (Annadale, Va.),

drew a one-out walk and she was on base when Carla Pennolino
(Middle Village, N.Y.) connected on a game-tying homerun into the
bleachers in left field. Her blast evened the score at
2-2.

batters were retired in order. However, five straight
Pioneers hits plated four runs, and they took a 6-2 lead into the
bottom of the seventh. The Knights pushed across a run in the
seventh as Cat Pastor (Hewlett, N.Y.) scored on a base hit from
Monique Roberge (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), but Roberge was thrown out
at second to end the game.

game. Yaroch was tagged with the loss.
