Ribeiro a Triple Winner in Tri-Meet vs. Adelphi, Baruch

FLUSHING, N.Y. - Junior Sissi Palma Ribeiro (Sao Lourenco, Brazil) won the 400-yard individual medley, 500-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly events Thursday night at Fitzgerald Natatorium, as the Queens College women's swimming and diving team took on Adelphi University and Baruch College in a tri-meet.

The Knights fell to AU by a 63-42 decision, while narrowly dropping a 54-51 meet against the Bearcats.

Ribeiro touched the wall first in the 400 IM in a time of 4:57.24, while earning a 1:01.94, first-place effort in the 100 Fly. She rounded out her evening with top honors in the 500 Free, with her time of 5:38.81.

Freshman Sonya Robinson (Arverne, N.Y.) took home first-place accolades in the 1-meter diving event for the Knights, scoring 113.10 points in the process.

Head coach Alicia Lampasso-Dillon's Queens team is back in action Dec. 12, when they travel to Kings Point, N.Y., for a 6 p.m. dual meet at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
