FLUSHING, N.Y.- The first half of the season came to a close Saturday afternoon for the Queens College women's swimming team as they competed in the East Coast Conference Tri-Meet hosted by College of Staten Island in the Dolphin Tank.
Queens went against host Dolphins and the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan College. The Knights were swept in the tri-meet as they fell to the score of 133-75 to the Dolphins and 135-57 against the Redhawks.
Highlights of the Tri-Meet
- The Knights took two first-place finishes winning the 200 Medley Relay – A and 200 Fly.
- The relay team of Rory Chea, Kristen Flores, Jillian Etnel, and Gabriela Almeida took first place in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:57.94.
- While Laura Cruz Rosario took first place in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:08.98.
- Chea finished third in the 50 Free (27:57) and fourth place in the 100 Back (1:13.47).
- Etnel took two third-place finishes in the 200 Fly (2:58.59) and 200 Back (2:34.08).
UP NEXT: The Knights will return to action in 2022. An updated schedule will be released in the upcoming month.
