FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College women's swimming team hosted their lone swim meet of the year as they welcomed fellow CUNY members Hunter College and Queensborough Community College to the Dina Axelrad Perry Pool Monday evening.
The Knights defeated Queensborough to the score of 117-16 but fell to Hunter to the score of 120-65.
Highlights of the Tri-Meet
- Queens took 1000 Yard Freestyle as freshman Jillian Etnel (Blooming Grove, N.Y.) took first place completing 40 laps in 14:06.30.
- In the 50 Yard Freestyle sophomore Kristen Flores (Bayside, N.Y.) took first place in Heat 1 with a time of 27:59.
- In the 100 Yard Freestyle sophomore Laura Cruz Rosario (Queens, N.Y.) swam to a time of 1:02.14 to take first place.
UP NEXT: The Knights conclude November as they compete in the SJC (LI) Tri-Meet against host St. Joseph's College and United States Merchant Marine Academy at 6:00 p.m.
