FLUSHING, N.Y. - Senior Angela Parra (Sunnyside, N.Y.) and junior Sissi Palma Ribeiro (Sao Lourenco, Brazil) won three individual events apiece Wednesday night at Fitzgerald Natatorium, as the Queens College women's swimming and diving team notched a 154-118 triumph over visiting Maritime (N.Y.) College.
Parra won the 50- (27.54), 200- (2:08.55) and 500-yard (5:58.90) freestyle events, while Ribeiro touched the wall first in the 100 Free (59.67), and both the 50 (29.19) and 100 (1:03.75) Butterfly events.
Freshman Emina Kadrich (Astoria, N.Y.) won the 50 (31.34) and 100 (1:08.00) backstroke events, while junior Briana Meehan (Levittown, N.Y.) emerged victorious in the 50 (35.07) and 100 (1:17.36) backstroke events. Freshmen Sonya Robinson (Arverne, N.Y.) and Kaitlyn Schlesinger (Massapequa, N.Y.), who sang the National Anthem prior to the meet, won the 1-meter diving (230.22 pts.) and 1,000-yard freestyle (14:40.22) events, respectively.
Head coach Alicia Lampasso-Dillon's Knights are back in action at home Dec. 8, when they play host to a tri-meet with Baruch College and Adelphi University at 6 p.m.
