COLONIA, N.J. – On Thursday, May 1 the East Coast Conference announced the 2025 Softball All-Conference teams and the Queens College softball trio of senior third baseman
Emma Zumpol (Patchogue, N.Y.), sophomore shortstop
Kadie Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y.), and senior center fielder
Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.) were named to the Second Team.
For the second straight year, a trio of Knights earned All-Conference honors with Zumpol earning her third straight honors, Baez earning her second straight honors and Cain earning All-Conference honors in her first year as a Knight.

Zumpol put together an outstanding final year as a Knights as the Patchogue native recorded a batting average of .337, second on the team, with 31 hits, five doubles, and one triple, earning five walks, scoring 15 runs, and driving home 11 runs in 33 games played.
The senior recorded a fielding percentage of .947 in 75 chances as she notched 33 putouts, and 38 assists at third base.
Zumpol recorded eight multi-hit games as she recorded six two-hit games and two three-hit games, four multi-RBI games, and tallied a season-best six-game hitting streak.

In her first year in Flushing and playing all 36 games Cain led the Knights with a team-high batting average of .359 and a scorching .414 in ECC play as she totaled a team-high 37 hits, eight doubles, one triple, and one home run, earning seven walks, scoring 11 runs and driving home 19 runs.
The Hauppauge native recorded a team-best 11 multi-hit games with seven two-hit performances and four three-hit performances to go five multi-RBI games including a team-best four-RBI in the victory over D'Youville University on March 22.
In the field, Cain in 160 chances notched 43 putouts, assisted in five, and turned five double plays.

Baez closes out her playing year with her second straight All-ECC honors as an outfielder.
Playing all 36 games as the starting center fielder the Selden native batted .311 recording 33 hits, seven doubles, two triples, a team-high six home runs, earning eight walks, scoring 17 runs, and driving home a team-best 26 runs.
The senior tallied eight multi-hit with six two-hit games two three-hit games and a team-best nine multi-RBI games.
