COLONIA, N.J. – On Monday, April 28, the East Coast Conference announced the tenth and final Softball report sheet of the year, and two Queens College softball student-athletes were honored for their performances in games played between Apr. 21 – Apr. 27.
Senior center fielder
Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.) and sophomore shortstop
Kadie Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y.) were named to the Honor Roll sheet.
Honor Roll – Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.)
In a 2-2 week to close out the year, Baez batted .455 with a SLG % of .1.091, and an OB % of .538 notching five hits, one double, two home runs, earning two walks scoring five runs, and driving in six. The Selden native recorded a hit in all four games including one multi-hit game. In the 2-0 sweep over Mercy, Baez recorded two home runs, three RBI, two walks, and scored four runs as Queens closed out the year on a positive note.
Honor Roll – Kadie Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y.)
In a 2-2 week to close out the year, Cain batted .333 with a SLG % of .500 and OB % of .333 notching four hits, two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBI. In the 2-0 sweep over Mercy, Cain recorded three hits, two of them doubles, three RBI and two runs scored including a 2-4 AB with a double, three RBI, and two scored as Queens closed out the year on a positive note.
