GAME RECAP (QUEENS 4, BLOOMSBURG 6)
It would be a scoreless inning for both teams to start the game before the Knights opened the scoring in the second. As Cisco battled for a seven-pitch walk, a sac bunt would advance the junior to second base before a second out grounder advanced him to third base. With a runner in scoring position, a RBI single to right field from Segarra would put the Knights up 1-0 before Vilardi notched a double to left field as Queens had two runners in scoring position.
With two outs, Napolitano Jr laced a two RBI single to center field as Queens took a 3-0 lead.
As Cassie got the first two outs, a walk would extend the inning before a fielding error saw the home side cut the Knights' advantage down to 3-1 after the completion of the bottom of the second inning.
As the Knights were limited off the bases, the Huskies would score a run in the fourth, before a four-run inning in the bottom of the fifth combined with three hits and a fielding error allowed the home side to take a 6-3 lead.
Queens looked to respond in the top of the sixth with one out as Cisco notched a double to left field before a hit by pitch had runners on first and second, but the Huskies would avoid damage as they were able to get the next two outs.
Kozerski and Vilardi would keep the deficit at 6-3 heading into the top of the ninth as the Knights were now down to their final three outs of the game.
Rivera began the inning with a single to right field before the Huskies were unable to make a play for the first out as Queens now had two runners on and no outs.
