WINTER PARK, FLA. – The Queens College softball team matched up against the Sunshine State Conference member Rollins College Tars at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in a Wednesday evening doubleheader.
The Knights were unable to get the offense going in game one as they fell 8-0. In a game where the Tars were limited to three hits, six walks and two fielding errors would prevent a comeback attempt.
In game two, senior
Ann Grimshaw (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) (2-3 AB) led the way with her first multi-hit game of the season while four other Knights recorded a hit.
But Queens would leave eight runners on base including two in scoring position in the top half of the first inning as the Knights were unable to capitalize on a bases-loaded opportunity with one out.
UP NEXT: Head coach
Amy Delmore and the Knights now travel to Daytona Beach with a Friday (Mar. 10) afternoon doubleheader against Alderson Broaddus University and host Embry-Riddle University. Game one against Alderson Broaddus set for 2:00 p.m. before matching up against host Embry-Riddle at 4:30 p.m.
