FLUSHING, N.Y. – After earning a comeback victory Friday evening, the barrels of the Queens College baseball team went on a rampage as the Knights completed the East Coast Conference series sweep over the visiting Dolphins of College of Staten Island Saturday afternoon at Hennekens Stadium.
Queens would take game one 16-6 before completing the day with a 9-0 shutout over the Dolphins in the game two victory.
With the sweep, the Knights improved to 15-9 overall, 9-0 in ECC play, while the Dolphins moved to 7-17 overall, 1-8 in conference play.
For the first time in program history, the Knights are 9-0 to start conference play having swept ECC series' over D'Youville, Lincoln, and Staten Island.
The Knights are on a seven-game win streak, their highest win streak since the 2019 season when they won six games in a row, and a seven-game streak since the 1998 season when they opened the season 9-0.

Louis Antos (West Islip, N.Y) (7-9 AB, 2 2B, 4R, 3RBI, BB) continued to flex his muscles as he tallied seven hits with two doubles, three RBIs, while several Knights knocked in three multi-hit performances on the afternoon. Freshman
Matt Filip (Maspeth, N.Y.) (3-4 AB, HR, 4RBI, R) capped off the afternoon with a four-RBI performance.

Dean Fazah (Queens, N.Y.) (2.0 IP, 3H, 2ER, 2BB, K) and sophomore
Jordan Sanabria (Woodside, N.Y.) (1.2 IP, 2H, K) combined for 10 strikeouts as they limited the Dolphins to 10 hits for six runs in game one before junior
Liam Pulsipher (East Moriches, N.Y.) (W, 2-4, 7.0 IP, H, 2BB, 8K) hurled a one-hitter gem to shut out the visitors in game two.
For the second game straight, the Knights would an early lead as they led 4-0 after two complete innings of play before the Dolphins attempted a rally in the top of the third inning as they cut the Knights' advantage down to 4-3. But Queens would combine for 12 runs over the next five innings of play to blow the game up for a 16-6 victory.
Seven Knights combined for 13 RBIs in the game one victory.
Game two would start the same way as the Knights went ahead 3-0 after the first inning as Queens tallied four hits for three runs.
With the early runs behind him, Pulsipher started to work him magic as he took a no-hitter into the top of the fifth inning before the Dolphins knocked a single to left field ended the no-hitter but the East Moriches native would strike out the side for the second time on the afternoon.
The Knights would tack on an insurance run in the fifth before a big five-run sixth inning led by a two-run home run blast by Filip as Queens led 9-0 after six innings.
Pulsipher would work his fourth clean inning of the afternoon to complete the sweep to earn his second win of the season.
In his last four games, Pulsipher has earned two wins and two saves to help the Knights stay undefeated in conference play.
