BRIDGEPORT, CONN. – The Queens College baseball team returned to East Coast Conference play on the road against the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport at Seaside Park.
But the offense would struggle to get going as they were held hitless for the first time on the season as they dropped the series opener to the score of 10-0 to the Purple Knights.
With the loss, the Knights moved to 19-11 overall, 11-2 in ECC play, while the Purple Knights improved to 16-21 overall, 6-7 in conference play.
The Knights would get only three base runners coming on a walk, a fielding error by the third basemen, and a hit by pitch, while the defense committed four errors on the afternoon.
UP NEXT: Head coach
Chris Reardon and the Knights conclude the three-game series against the Purple Knights with a Saturday (Apr. 23) afternoon doubleheader in Flushing. The first pitch is set for noon.
