FLUSHING, N.Y. – It is a busy week for the Queens College Softball team with three road trips and a home doubleheader during the week.
The Knights open the week against St. Thomas Aquinas College Monday in Sparkill, N.Y. before traveling to College of Staten Island on Wednesday. It will be a short rest for the Knights as they host STAC on Thursday and will conclude the week against Bridgeport on Saturday.

Queens
(2-18 overall, 2-6 ECC) is coming off a Saturday afternoon split against Mercy College. But it will be a busy week with eight East Coast Conference games on the docket.
As a team, the Knights are batting .223, with .579 OPS, and .295 slugging % with 108 hits and 41 runs scored.

Ann Grimshaw (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) leads the offense batting a team-high .286 average with 16 hits, eight RBIs, and five doubles. While junior
Cyarra Alvarado (Coral Spring, Fla.) holds a .267 batting average with 16 hits, four doubles, three home runs, and a team-high 10 RBIs.
St. Thomas Aquinas College Series History
In 64 games played since the 2001 season, the Knights are 41-23 overall. But in the last 10 games, STAC is 9-1 against the Knights. On Monday the Knights will look to end an eight-game losing streak against the Spartans.

(14-13 overall, 7-1 ECC) earned a Sunday split against Mercy as the Spartans saw a six-game win streak in conference play come to an end.
As a team, the Spartans are batting .259 with .338 OBP, .362 slugging %, and have tallied 107 runs on 181 hits.
Emilie Olivier leads the team with 20 RBIs with a .273 batting average and 18 hits. While Carissa Della Vecchia holds a team-high batting average of .349 with 29 hits, 11 doubles, and 12 RBIs on the season.
College of Staten Island History
The Knights are 1-3 against the Dolphins as Queens earned a road split in Staten Island to the score of 4-2.

(8-16 overall, 4-10 ECC) is coming off a 3-1 weekend in ECC play having swept Molloy College and earned a Sunday split against D'Youville College.
As a team, the Dolphins are batting .271 with .688 OBP and .345 slugging % with 169 hits and 95 runs scored.
Anissa Acosta leads the offense with a batting average of .442 with 34 hits, six home runs, and a team-high 26 RBIs. While Samantha MacPherson holds a .342 batting average with 25 hits, seven doubles, and 15 RBIs.
University of Bridgeport Series History
The Knights were swept in 2-0 in Flushing as Queens fell 5-0 in game one before falling short in game two to the score of 9-3. Currently, the Knights are on a 12-game losing streak against the Purple Knights.

(22-11 overall, 10-4 ECC) is on an eight-game win streak and will open the week against Staten Island on Friday before hosting the Knights on Saturday.
As a team, the Purple Knights are batting .318 with .390 OBP and .456 slugging % with 288 hits and 184 runs scored.
The offense is led by Taylor Yates batting .374 with 40 hits, and 21 runs and leads the team with 35 RBIs. While Kaira Roman holds a .418 batting average with 38 hits and 32 RBIs on the season.
