WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – On Monday afternoon, the East Coast Conference office announced the weekly awards and three student-athletes were awarded honor roll spots for their performances for competitions played between March 7
th to March 13
th.
Baseball: Jordan Sanabria (Woodside, N.Y. | So. | RHP) – Honor Roll
Sanabria pitched a five-inning shutout as he allowed one hit with a career-high five strikeouts on Tuesday afternoon against Post University in the 6-3 win. The sophomore did not allow his first hit until the top of the fifth inning to help the Knights earn their third straight win over the Eagles.
Men's Tennis: Senior Moritz Borges (Huxne, Germany) – Honor Roll
Promoted to No. 1 doubles, Borges picked up a 6-3 victory to start the afternoon against Edinboro. Borges would conclude the afternoon 2-0 with a two-set victory over Kaio Sacchi to the score of 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
Men's Tennis: Junior Kareem Rashad (Alexandria, Egypt) – Honor Roll
Rashad won his second straight singles match, helping the Knights defeat Edinboro 5-2 Thursday afternoon. The junior defeated Bruno Sabia 6-3, 6-4 with a two-set sweep at the No. 1 spot.
