FLUSHING, N.Y. – The 2022 Queens College baseball schedule is officially out. After a 2021 shortened season, head coach
Chris Reardon's Knights schedule will feature an exciting slate of games.
The 2022 schedule features 46 games including 11 games against five teams that made the 2021 NCAA baseball regional tournament including the NCAA Championship final. The Knights will play host to 27 games at Hennekens Stadium.
The first pitch of the season will take place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as the Knights take on Southern New Hampshire University Penmen on Friday (Feb. 25). The Penmen won the 2021 NCAA East Regional tournament and advanced to the NCAA Championship finals.
Queens will take on Post University Eagles on Saturday (Feb. 26) in a doubleheader before concluding the opening weekend with a match-up against Felician University Golden Falcons on Sunday (Feb. 27).
Continuing non-conference action, the Knights will travel to Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday (Mar. 2) with a matchup against Thomas Jefferson University Rams.
Following a five-game schedule on the road, the Knights will start a season-high 11 straight home game schedule starting with back-to-back doubleheaders against Bloomfield College Bears on Saturday (Mar. 5) and Sunday (Mar. 6)
On Tuesday (Mar. 8) the Knights will welcome the Eagles before hosting the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University who made the NCAA East regional tournament in a three-game series on Friday (Mar. 11) and Saturday (Mar. 12).
Following a short rest, Queens will welcome Assumption College Greyhounds in a three-game series on Friday (Mar. 18) and Saturday (Mar. 19).
The Knights will hit the road for a six-game road trip starting with a matchup against the Golden Falcons on Wednesday (Mar. 23) before visiting the Caldwell University Cougars on Thursday (Mar. 24).
Eying a conference postseason spot for the third straight season, Queens begins East Coast Conference play with a trip to Buffalo, N.Y. in a three-game series against D'Youville College Saints on Friday (Mar. 25) and Saturday (Mar. 26).
The Knights return to non-conference play with a trip to Garden City, N.Y. as they go up against Adelphi University Panthers on Tuesday (Mar. 29).
The month of April begins with a three-game series against Lincoln University (PA.) Lions in conference play on April 1-2 before welcoming the Cougars on Tuesday (Apr. 5) and Golden Falcons on Wednesday (Apr. 6).
Returning to conference play, the Knights travel to Staten Island, N.Y. with a matchup against College of Staten Island Dolphins on Friday (Apr. 8) before hosting the Dolphins for a doubleheader on Saturday (Apr 9).
Queens take a quick break from conference play as they travel to Waterbury, N.Y. with a non-conference tilt against the Eagles on Tuesday (Apr. 12).
The Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College come to town on Thursday (Apr. 14) before the Knights travel to Sparkill, N.Y. with a conference doubleheader against the Spartans on Saturday (Apr. 16).
A two-game series against the Rams comes to a close in Flushing on Tuesday (Apr. 19) before return back to conference play.
With the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights set to leave the ECC for the CACC in fall 2022, Queens starts their final three-game conference series against the Purple Knights in Bridgeport, C.T on Friday (Apr. 22) before hosting them on Saturday (Apr. 23).
The Knights will host the Panthers on Tuesday (Apr. 26) before welcoming the defending ECC champions Loins of Molloy College on Friday (Apr. 29) in game one of the three-game series. The series concludes on Saturday (Apr. 30) with a trip to Uniondale, N.Y.
The last month of the regular season starts with the Goldey-Beacom College Lightning as the Knights conclude non-conference play at home on Tuesday (May. 3). The Lightning made their first NCAA East regional championship appearance last spring.
Conference play concludes with a three-game series against the Mercy College Mavericks starting with a trip to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. on Friday (May.6) before hosting the Mavericks on Saturday (May. 7) doubleheader.
The ECC Double-Elimination tournament is scheduled from Thursday to Saturday (May. 12-14).
