Queens, N.Y. - The Queens College women's
tennis team blanked Molloy earlier in the week and improved to 2-0
on Sunday with another 9-0 blanking of Le Moyne, from the Queens
College tennis courts in Flushing. For the second straight
contest, the Knights won all matches without dropping a single
set.
In singles play, four of the six matches ended without the
Dolphins winning a single game as Aylin Mehter, Jenna Plevako,
Jennifer Fridman and Darby Brandon all won 6-0, 6-0. Andrea
Samson triumphed in her third singles match, 6-3, 6-2. Also,
from sixth singles, Kim Xiong was victorious, 6-0, 6-3.
For the doubles matches, Fridman teamed with Weronika Kurka to
win 8-0. The third doubles pairing of Samson and Brandon were
triumphant, 8-1 and from first doubles, Mehter and Plevako won
8-2.
The Queens College women's tennis team is now 2-0 on the
season. They return to the court on Wednesday, September 18
at NYIT.
