SHIRLEY, N.Y. – The Queens College baseball team dropped a 14-0 decision at East Coast Conference foe Dowling College, Friday afternoon at Golden Lions Field. Freshman Chris Ramanauskas had two hits on the day for the visiting Knights – including a double.

The Golden Lions (18-23, 14-13 ECC) jumped out to a two-run lead in the third inning, before adding eight and four runs in the fourth and sixth innings, respectively.

Five Queens players also joined Ramanauskas in the hit parade, including: James Casella; Robert Bernardo; Connor Burke; Steven Varela; and Brandon Ferguson. Junior right-hander Gabriel Guerrero took the loss on the hill for the Knights (10-31, 8-19 ECC).

The teams continue their weekend series Saturday at Golden Lions Field, with a doubleheader slated to begin at 12 noon.
