#39 Knights beat Setters 9-0 for first win of 2011

The #39 ranked Queens College Men's Tennis team kicked off their 2011 spring season with a convincing 9-0 win against Pace this past Saturday. The Knights had played and won two matches in the fall. With this win against Pace, the Knights now improve to an overall record of 3-0 for the '10-'11 season.

 

With Fabio Minami clinching the match at the number three singles spot against Pace's Dan Klien 6-1, 6-3 the Knights were off on the right foot in 2011. Saturday's victory against the Setters marked head coach Craig Shwartz's 50th win at the helm here at Queens.

 

Diego Medrano's win at the number four singles 6-0, 6-2 and Cassidy Robertson's win at the number six singles 6-1, 6-0 were both Knights' first career collegiate victories. Queens College and Head Coach Craig Shwartz would like to congratulate these two gentlemen in their achievement and wish them continued success in a Knights uniform.
