COLONIA, N.J. – In the fifth East Coast Conference weekly report of the season sophomore Andres Urquiola (Tarija, Bolivia)) was named Player of the Week, and sophomore Jaime Foix Sotos (Javea, Spain) was named to the Honor Roll sheet.  

Player of the Week

Urquiola went 3-0 in singles play across three different courts, including a 2-0 mark to open East Coast Conference play. Urquiola began the week with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles against Chestnut Hill. In conference action, the sophomore earned two wins, competing at No. 2 and No. 3 singles against Daemen and District of Columbia.

Honor Roll

Foix Sotos posted a 3-0 record in singles play at two different courts, including a 2-0 start in ECC competition. Foix Sotos opened the week with a three-set victory at No. 6 singles over Chestnut Hill. In conference play, the sophomore recorded wins at No. 6 singles against Daemen and No. 5 singles against District of Columbia.

NEXT UP:

Queens hits the road for the first time this season on Saturday, March 28, traveling to Amherst, N.Y. for an ECC matchup against Daemen University Wildcats. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
