FLUSHING, N.Y. – After a one-match week that saw them earn a thrilling five-set victory, the Queens College women's volleyball team opens a three-match road swing Tuesday before opening East Coast Conference play Saturday afternoon.
As a team, the Knights have totaled 422 kills at 9.2 per set, 398 assists at 8.7 per set, 99 service aces at 2.3 per set, 585 digs at 12.7 per set, and 56 blocks at 1.2 per set.
Rookie
Zoe Sercu leads Queens with 131 kills at 2.85 kills per set and has recorded three double-doubles. Sercu earned her second weekly honor of the season and her first Honor Roll selection Monday. Last week, Sercu recorded her third career double-double with a match-tying 15 kills and 13 digs in the Knights' 3-2 victory over Georgian Court. She added one service ace and one block in the five-set victory.
Rookie
Mikayla Haskell has recorded 87 kills, eight service aces, and a team-best 27 blocks, including five solo blocks and 22 block assists. On Monday, she was named to the ECC Honor Roll for the first time this season. Haskell posted a career-best 15 kills while hitting .433 in the Knights' 3-2 victory over Georgian Court. She added three blocks and two service aces in the five-set victory.
Rookie
Kaiya Banks has recorded a team-best 176 assists, along with 18 service aces, 18 kills, and 84 digs. On Monday, she was named to the ECC Honor Roll for the first time this season. Banks posted a career-best 24 assists in the Knights' 3-2 victory over Georgian Court. She added five digs, two service aces, and two kills in the five-set victory.
Queens begins the week in non-conference play Tuesday, traveling to Pleasantville to take on the Pace University Setters before opening conference action Saturday afternoon against the Molloy University Lions in Rockville Centre.
Pace University Preview
Pace enters the week with an overall record of 4-5 and is coming off a four-set loss to Molloy on Saturday afternoon.
Tuesday's meeting will be the 19th all-time between the two sides, with Queens leading the series, 10-8. The Knights have won their last three trips to Pleasantville, including a three-set sweep in 2024.
Molloy University Preview
Molloy enters the week with an overall record of 4-8 and is coming off a four-set victory over Pace.
Saturday's meeting will be the 66th all-time between the two sides, with the series dating back to 1990. Queens leads the all-time series, 35-30. Last season, Queens fell in both matchups against Molloy.
NEXT WEEK OUTLOOK
The road swing will conclude Wednesday, Sept. 30, as Queens travels to Dobbs Ferry to take on defending ECC Champions Mercy University.
