COLONIA, N.J. – On Thursday, April 23, the East Coast Conference announced its 2025–26 Women's Tennis major award winners and All-Conference selections.
Junior
Lilie Bizouerne (La Ciotat, France) was named Player of the Year, while freshman
Ela Vasic (Novi Sad, Serbia) earned Rookie of the Year honors. Head coach
Alan Nagel was recognized as Coach of the Year.
Nagel and his staff guided a program-record five Knights to All-ECC honors, with four earning First Team recognition in Bizouerne, Vasic, junior
Sixtine Goubet (Lyon, France), senior
Marie Bertran (Villelaure, France). Sophomore
Johanne Genestay (Dinan, France) was named to the Second Team.
In his 47th season leading the program, Nagel guided the Knights to a 14-4 overall record and a perfect mark in conference play. Queens climbed as high as No. 18 in the ITA National Poll during the season and enters postseason play ranked No. 32.
The Knights secured their third consecutive ECC regular season title, finishing with a perfect 8-0 record marking their fifth undefeated conference season in the past decade. Queens also earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ECC Women's Tennis Championship.
Bizouerne capped a standout season by earning Player of the Year and First Team All-ECC honors. She becomes the third Knight in the past seven seasons to receive the conference's top individual honor. The junior opened the fall by winning the ITA East Region Singles title and finishing as doubles runner-up. She posted a 20-3 overall singles record and a 17-6 doubles mark, including a 7-0 record in ECC singles play. Bizouerne reached as high as No. 18 in the ITA singles rankings and enters the ECC Tournament ranked No. 69. In doubles, she paired with Goubet to reach a national ranking as high as No. 25.
Vasic delivered an impressive debut season, earning Rookie of the Year and First Team All-ECC honors. She becomes the program's first Rookie of the Year since 2019. Vasic went undefeated in ECC singles play across five different courts and posted a 6-0 doubles record at the No. 1 position alongside Bertran. The duo reached a national ranking of No. 21 and enters the postseason ranked No. 36.
Goubet also made an immediate impact in her first season, finishing with a 15-5 singles record and a 17-6 doubles mark. Competing across the top three singles positions, she went 6-0 in ECC play, including a 4-0 record at No. 1 singles, and added a 6-1 mark at No. 2 doubles. Goubet climbed as high as No. 22 in singles and No. 25 in doubles in the ITA rankings.
Bertran contributed a strong season at both singles and doubles, posting a 9-7 singles record and an outstanding 19-4 mark in doubles. In conference play, she went 4-1 in singles competition and remained undefeated at 7-0 in the No. 1 doubles position.
Genestay compiled a 12-2 singles record and an 11-5 doubles mark, including an unbeaten record in ECC play. She went 4-0 in singles across the No. 3, 4, and 5 positions and added a 3-0 doubles record competing at multiple courts.

The Knights begin their title defense on Friday, April 24, as the No. 1 seed takes on No. 4 seed St. Thomas Aquinas in the ECC Women's Tennis Championship at the USTA National Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
