COLONIA, N.J. – On Thursday, April 23, the East Coast Conference announced its 2025–26 Men's Tennis major award winners and All-Conference selections.
Senior
Lucas Foix Sotos (Javea, Spain) was recognized as Player of the Year, while head coach
Somadi Druker earned Co-Coach of the Year honors, as voted by her peers.
Druker and her staff guided three Knights Foix Sotos, senior
Alexis Martin-Gibiard (Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France), and junior
Tim Andersson (Linkoping, Sweden) to All-ECC recognition.
In her 12th season at the helm, Druker led the Knights to a historic campaign, finishing the regular season with a 20-2 overall record and a 5-1 mark in ECC play. Queens opened the year with a 14-match winning streak, one of the best starts in program history. The 20-win season marks just the fifth in program history and the second under Druker's leadership.
The Knights captured another ECC regular season title, earning the No. 1 seed and a bye into the championship match.
Foix Sotos anchored the lineup at the top singles position, posting a 14-7 overall record, including a 4-1 mark in conference play all at No. 1. In doubles, he compiled a 13-10 record and went 5-1 in ECC competition.
Martin-Gibiard delivered a strong season in the middle of the lineup, finishing with a 15-4 singles record, including 4-1 in ECC play. He also contributed a 14-9 doubles record, with nine wins coming at the top doubles position.
Andersson added depth to the lineup with a 10-8 singles record and an impressive 19-7 mark in doubles play. In conference action, he went 3-1 in singles including a 2-0 record at No. 3 and posted a 5-1 doubles record.
NEXT UP
Queens will face the winner of the No. 2 seed St. Thomas Aquinas College and No. 3 seed University of the District of Columbia in the ECC Championship match. Match time is to be announced.
