COLONIA, N.J. – In the eighth East Coast Conference weekly report of the season, two Queens College men's tennis student-athletes earned recognition, led by senior Lucas Foix Sotos (Javea, Spain), who was named Co-Player of the Week for the third straight week, while senior Alexis Martin-Gibiard (Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France) was selected to the Honor Roll sheet.  

Co-Player of the Week

Foix Sotos went undefeated in ECC play, posting a 4-0 record at No. 1 singles and doubles. He opened the week with a 6-1 doubles victory over STAC before rallying for a three-set comeback win against Lorenzo Meschini. The senior followed with a 6-3 doubles victory over UDC and capped the week with a straight-set singles win over Elouan Queguiner.

Honor Roll

Martin-Gibiard went undefeated in ECC play, recording a 4-0 mark at No. 1 doubles and No. 4 singles. He began the week with a 6-1 doubles victory over STAC before earning a straight-set win against Henry Ronnberg. Against UDC, Martin-Gibiard secured a 6-3 doubles victory and closed out the week with a dominant shutout win over Ignacio Fernandez.

Queens concludes the regular season in East Coast Conference play on Friday, April 17, hosting St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
