AMHERST, N.Y. – Concluding their Western New York road trip on Sunday, the Queens College women's volleyball team took on Daemen University in East Coast Conference (ECC) action inside Lumsden Gymnasium.

Despite a determined effort, the Knights were unable to overcome early deficits, falling in straight sets to the Wildcats. Senior outside hitter Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) led the Knights with a team-high nine kills, while rookie setter Kylynn White (Chicago, IL) notched her fifth double-double of the season, tallying 14 assists and 12 digs in the contest.

Match Recap – Queens 0, Daemen 3 (Set Scores: 20-25-, 20-25, 23-25)

The Knights got off to a slow start, quickly falling behind 12-6 as the Wildcats controlled the early momentum. As Daemen extended their lead to 23-15, Queens responded with a late push, cutting the deficit to four at 24-20. Despite the surge, the Wildcats held on to take the opening set, 25-20, and secured a 1-0 lead in the match.

After falling behind 9-5, Queens began to find rhythm. A kill from senior Maya Angelova (Kyustendil, Bulgaria) parked a 6-3 run that brought the Knights within one at 17-16. Despite staying close, Daemen pulled away late to claim the second set by the same 25-20 scoreline.

Queens opened the third set with a 5-3 lead, but Daemen responded with an 11-4 run to go up 14-9. The Wildcats stretched the lead to 18-12, but the Knights battled back behind two kills from White and a dominant stretch by Conrad, who posted three kills and two blocks to help tie the set at 23-23. However, Daemen held strong in the final moments to edge out the set, 25-23, and seal the sweep.
