ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Continuing East Coast Conference play, the Queens College women's volleyball team traveled to Rockville Centre to face the Lions of Molloy University at Bob Houlihan Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.
The Knights were unable to overcome a slow start and dropped their third ECC match of the season, falling 3-0 to the Lions.
Match Recap – Queens 0, Molloy 3 (Set Scores: 18-25, 10-25, 25-20)
Trailing 4-3 early in the first set, the Lions went on an 8-0 run to push the Knights 12-3. However, the senior duo of outside hitter
Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) and middle blocker
Lindsay Osterhoudt (Orlando, Fla) sparked a 5-0 run to bring the Knights within four at 12-8.
Despite this effort, Molloy closed out the first set on an 8-2 run, winning 25-18 and taking a 1-0 lead in the match.
In the second set, the Knights fell behind 16-2 as they committed five attacking errors to trail the match 2-0, as they dropped the second set 25-10.
In the third set, the Knights started strong, taking a 6-3 lead by capitalizing on the Lions' errors. Molloy responded with a 6-1 run to grab a 9-7 advantage.
Queens then battled back with a 3-1 run to tie the set at 10-10. However, the Lions went on an 8-2 run to build an 18-12 lead. The Knights refused to back down and used an 8-2 run to even the score at 20-20. Ultimately, Molloy held on to win the set 25-20, completing the sweep in the first meeting of the year.

- Conrad recorded a team-high five kills to go with one block.
- Osterhoudt notched three kills, three blocks, and four service aces.
- Rookie setter Kylynn White (Chicago, IL) tallied a team-high eight assists and nine digs in the contest.

Queens opens a four-match homestand beginning on Saturday, October 4, as they welcome Pace University Setters to town. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
