The Knights concluded the weekend with a 2-1 record, improving to 6-6 overall on the season.

It was an early back-and-forth affair in the opening set as the Knights kept pace with the Warriors, trailing by just one at 7-6. However, a 7-2 run by East Stroudsburg gave the hosts a 14-8 advantage. Queens managed to close the gap to within four at 15-11, but another Warriors surge, this time 7-3, secured a 25-18 set win and a 1-0 match lead.

In the second set, the duo of Leung and senior outside hitter Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) combined for four kills, helping the Knights stay even with the Warriors through the first 16 points. After East Stroudsburg pulled ahead with an 8-4 run to make it 16-12, Queens responded with a 4-0 run to tie the set at 16-all. However, the Warriors regained control and closed the set on a 9-1 run to claim a 25-17 victory and a 2-0 lead in the match.

The third set saw the Warriors jump out to an early 8-3 lead, but the Knights responded with a 7-0 run behind three service aces from Hyman, taking a 10-8 edge. Match Recap – Queens 3, Southern New Hampshire 1 (Set Scores: 21-25, 25-22, 25-10, 25-8)

Looking to end their weekend on a positive note, the Knights fell behind 5-2 before Conrad recorded three kills during a 4-1 run to tie the first set at 6-6.

However, the Penmen responded with a 7-2 surge to take a 13-8 lead. Back-to-back kills from White and senior middle blocker Lindsay Osterhoudt (Orlando, Fla) broke the run and brought the Knights within three at 13-10. But another 3-1 stretch by the Penmen extended their advantage to 16-11.

Led by White, who recorded two kills and a service ace, the Knights responded with an 8-3 run to take a 19-16 lead. Despite the momentum, Southern New Hampshire closed out the set 25-21 to take a 1-0 match lead.

The second set saw both teams trade points early. With the score locked at 10-10, the Penmen pulled ahead with a 7-2 run to lead 17-12. Refusing to back down, the Knights responded as Leung ended the SNHU run with a kill, sparking an 8-2 surge that gave Queens a 20-19 lead and forced a Penmen timeout.

Out of the timeout, SNHU tied the set at 20-20, but a kill from White followed by an Osterhoudt ace put Queens ahead 22-20. The Penmen responded with a kill and an ace of their own to level the score at 22-22. A SNHU attack error gave the Knights a 23-22 lead, and a crucial block from Conrad and senior middle blocker Maya Angelova (Kyustendil, Bulgaria) set up set point. White then sealed the 25-22 set win with an ace, tying the match at 1-1.

A service error from SNHU tied the third set at 3-3, before sophomore Hyman completely took over. The Forest Hills native sparked a stunning 15-0 run, recording a program-best seven service aces in a set, surpassing former teammate Madi Hathaway's record of six aces in a 14-0 run last season against Holy Family. During the stretch, Leung, Angelova, and sophomore libero Asuka Shibue (Tochigi, Japan) contributed seven combined kills, as Queens stormed ahead 17-3 and never looked back, closing out the set 25-10 to take a 2-1 match lead.

Carrying that momentum into the fourth set, Queens came out firing. Led by seniors Conrad, Osterhoudt, and Angelova, the Knights built a commanding 12-3 lead behind five kills, two blocks, and a service ace.

Though SNHU managed to break the run, Queens remained in control, hitting over .500 in the set and dominating from start to finish. The Knights sealed the win with a 25-8 fourth set victory, completing the 3-1 comeback and securing their sixth victory of the season.
