Cross Country Announces 2025 Slate

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Entering his 10th overall season in charge of the Queens College men's and women's cross country programs, head coach Gerg Welch has announced the 2025 cross country schedule.
 
The Knights will compete in five meets, all taking place in the East Region, and will host the 2025 East Coast Conference Cross Country Championship in late October.
 
The women's program will prepare to capture their second ECC title in program history, first since the 2009 season. While the men's side prepares to capture their first-ever title.
 
The Knights' season opener is set for Saturday, Sept. 14 as they head to Newburgh, N.Y., to compete in the Mount Saint Mary Cross Country Invitational hosted at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome.
 
Queens's second meet will take the Knights to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y., on Sunday, Sept. 28 as they compete in the 2025 Queensborough Cross Country Invitational.
 
The Knights will then use their time to prepare for the 21st annual New Jersey Institute of Technology Cross Country Invitational hosted at Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J. on Saturday, Oct. 11.
 
The final preparation before the championship meet will see both squads head to Kings Park, N.Y. on Saturday, Oct. 18 as they compete in the St. Joseph's – L.I. Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park.
 
With the ECC Championship returning to Long Island for the first time since the 2019 season when it was hosted by NYIT in Old Westbury, the Knights will return to Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday, Oct. 25 to compete in the championship.
