COLONIA, NJ. – In the third East Coast Conference men's and women's cross country weekly report sheet released Tuesday afternoon three Queens College men's and women's cross country student-athletes were honored for their performances.
On the men's side, senior
John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.) was awarded Runner of the Week, while sophomore
Daniel DeGregori (East Meadow, N.Y.) earned a Honor Roll spot. On the women's side junior
Rachel Mow (Espous, N.Y.) was awarded a Honor Roll spot.
On the year the men's and women's cross country program has a found on the ECC Weekly Report Sheet a total of five times.
Runner of the Week - John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.)
For the second this year has earned a spot on the Cross Country weekly report sheet following his Honor Roll honors on Sept. 9.
Ray led the way for the men's cross country team with a third-place finish in the Golden Eagles Invitational Saturday afternoon. Ray completed the 8K race with a career-best time of 26:22.4 as he earned a third-place finish.
For the first time this season DeGregori has earned a Honor Roll spot.
DeGregori recorded an 11th-place finish in the Golden Eagles Invitational Saturday afternoon with a career-best time of 27:31.3 in the 8K meet.
Honor Roll - Rachel Mow (Esopus, N.Y.)
For the second time this year Mow has earned a Honor Roll spot on the weekly report sheet.
Mow paced the women's cross country team in the Golden Eagles Invitational Saturday morning with a top-10 finish. In the 5K meet Mow placed seventh with a team-best time of 20:31.7.
Next Meet:
The Knights will now use the next two weeks to prepare for the Queensborough Invitational to be hosted at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Sunday, Oct. 6 by Queensborough Community College.
