FLUSHING, N.Y. – Entering his 47
th year in charge of the Queens College women's tennis program, head coach
Alan Nagel has announced the 2025 fall portion Tuesday afternoon.
Last season the Knights concluded the season with an overall record of 10-6, 4-1 in East Coast Conference play as they went on to earn a share of the ECC Regular Season title before winning the ECC Tournament title earning them their 23
rd appearance in the NCAA WTEN Tournament. Nagel and the Knights would make back-to-back appearances as one of the final 16 teams remaining in the country.
In the fall Nagel and the Knights will compete in five dual matches (four East Coast Conference and one non-conference) and the ITA East Regional Singles and Doubles Tournament.
The Knights will open their season with back-to-back ECC matches on the road in Western New York. They'll face the Daemen University Wildcats in Amherst on Saturday, Sept. 20, before wrapping up the trip against the D'Youville University Saints in Buffalo on Sunday, Sept. 21.
After the road trip, Queens will return to familiar ground as they take part in the ITA East Regional Tournament, running from September 25–29 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing.
Queens then hits the road again on Saturday, October 4, for an ECC showdown against St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans in Sparkill.
The Knights will enjoy the home-court advantage twice in October to conclude the fall portion of the year, beginning with a Thursday afternoon match on October 9 against Assumption University Greyhounds in non-conference play.
Their home finale will take place on Friday, October 24 as they welcome the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) to town in ECC play.
Nagel and the Knights will face their four ECC opponents in the spring to complete the round-robin schedule. Non-Conference and the ECC dates will be announced in early spring.
Additionally, the East Coast Conference championship has officially been moved to the Spring Semester, which will be played on April 24 to April 25 at the USTA National Tennis Center.
