INDIANAPOLIS – For the 23
rd straight year in program history, the Queens College men's tennis team is dancing!
On Monday, May 5 the NCAA announced the Field of 48 to the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament, and head coach
Somadi Druker and the Knights have earned the #1 seed in the East Region for the third straight year.
The Knights enter the tournament with an overall record of 17-4 and are coming off of winning their 11
th East Coast Conference title in program history and the seventh under Druker's guidance.
In Division II play, the Knights posted an overall record of 15-2 including an impressive 9-0 record inside the QC Indoor Tennis Bubble.
Sophomore
Loup Alleno (Paris, France) and junior
Lucas Foix Sotos (Javea, Spain) earned All-ECC honors.
Queens will host the East Regional #1 bracket starting on Friday, May 9 to Saturday, May 10 inside the QC Indoor Tennis Bubble.
The Knights await the winner of the winner of First Round match between #4 seed Adelphi University vs. #5 seed University of the District of Columbia.
Druker and the Knights are looking to clinch their second straight appearance to the Men's Tennis Championship Bracket in Altamonte Springs, FL at Sanlando Park from Tuesday, May 20 – Saturday, May 24.
