FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College men's and women's track and field teams hosted the Knights Invitational Friday afternoon underway overcast and chilly conditions.
Following the conclusion of the meet, head coach

Hakeem Griffiths,
Fatima Morrobel, and
Hayley Matthews for their dedication to the Cross Country and both Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field program.
Men's Meet Highlights
- Senior John Ray placed first in the 1500m Run with a time of 4:16.16, while sophomore Daniel DeGregori recorded a second place finish with a time of 4:22.65.
- Junior David Adekoya placed first in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.89.
- Sophomore Diara Guy placed first in the 100m Dash with a time of 11.27.
- Junior Ezequiel Zapata placed fifth in the 400m Dash with a time of 53.37, while teammate Kyle Gault placed sixth with a time of 53.89.
- DeGregori placed first in the 800m Run with a time of 2:10.37, while Edward Samoleski placed third with a time of 2:19.29.
- Junior Kadeem Patterson placed first in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.96, while Gault placed second with a time of 23.26.
- Ray placed first in the 5000m Run with a time of 15:35.05, while senior Peter Hoffmann placed fifth with a time of 17:32.71.
- In the Shot Put event, junior Jalen George placed second with a mark of 11.96m, while Gault placed third with a mark of 9.47m.
Women's Meet Highlights
- Junior Rachel Mow placed first in the 3000m Run with a time of 11:25.18.
- Junior Joy Leong placed fourth in the 1500m Run with a time of 6:21.85.
- In the 100m Dash sophomore Moisa Moneus placed fourth with a time of 14.45 and senior Maria Flores placed fifth with a time of 14.53.
- In the 400m Dash, senior Fatima Morrobel placed second with a time of 1:04.38 and junior Jennifer Salazar placed sixth with a time of 1:11.48.
- In the 800m Run, sophomore Carly Koprowski placed first with a time of 2:17.46.
- In the Shot Put, senior Hayley Matthews placed fourth with a mark of 8.93, sophomore Dhiannie Brito placed fifth with a mark of 8.36m and junior Madelyn McMath placed eighth with a mark of 7.45m.
NEXT MEET
The Knights will head to Newark, N.J. on Friday, Apr. 18 as they compete in the Wolverine Classic hosted by Essex County College. The first event is set to start at 9:00 a.m.
