ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Queens College men's and women's Outdoor track and field teams competed in the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship Thursday in Rochester at Roberts Stadium.
Women's sophomore
Carly Koprowski (Wantagh, N.Y.) set the ECC meet record in the 800m Run as she placed first to earn All-ECC First Team honors with a time of 2:14.49.
On the men's side, a total of eight Knights earned All-ECC honors led by junior
Dami Babalola (West Hempstead, N.Y.) who set the ECC meet record in the 400m Hurdles as he placed first to earn All-ECC First Team honors with a time of 55.25 and set a new career best.
Senior
John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.) earned All-ECC First Team honors in two separate events earning a first-place finish in the 5000m Run with a time of 16:06.58 and a second-place finish in the 10, 000m Run with a time of 32:18.97. The second place in the 10K run set a new personal best.
The men's 4x100 Relay Team of
Ezequiel Zapata (Bronx, N.Y.),
Kadeem Patterson (Bronx, N.Y.),
Kyle Gault (Strawn, TX.), and
Diara Guy (Trinidad and Tobago) earned First Team honors as they recorded a first-place finish with a time of 42.12.
Sophomore
Diara Guy (Trinidad and Tobago) placed fourth in the 100m Dash finals with a time of 10.92 to earn All-ECC Second Team honors.
Junior
David Adekoya (Far Rockaway, N.Y.) placed second in the 110m Hurdles with a career-best time of 15.44 to earn First Team honors.
Lastly, junior
Jalen George (Baldwin, N.Y.) earned Second Team honors in the Discus Throw with a career-best mark of 41.61m as he placed fourth.
The women's team placed eighth in the meet, while the men's side placed fifth.
