GAME RECAP
Queens would get no-hit in game one before they recorded four singles in game two to get the offense going.
In the top of the first junior left fielder
Sienna Denino (North Babylon, N.Y.) reached first base on a throwing base but the Setters would keep Denino stranded on first base to end the frame.
In the top of the third O'Connor opened the frame with a single up the middle as Queens got their second runner on base. But once again the Setters defense would retire the next batters in a row to end the inning.
Pace would get on board in the home frame of the third using three hits to take a 2-0 lead.
In the fourth frame with one out, Baez laced a single to third base but a fielder's choice play would erase Baez at second before the Setters got the fourth batter of the inning to foul out to end the inning.
In the top of the fifth, Parascandola singled as Queens searched for offense. But a double play would get the Setters one out away from getting out of the inning. Rookie Pineiro would lace a single up the middle as the Knights recorded their second hit of the inning but the Setters would get the third out to keep Pineiro stranded.
The Setters would add three insurance runs in the sixth before retiring the Knights in order in the top of the seventh to complete the sweep.
