COLONIA, N.J. – On Tuesday, Feb.18 the East Coast Conference office announced the second men's tennis weekly report sheet, and two Queens College men's tennis student-athletes in junior
Alexis Martin-Gibiard (Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France) and sophomore
Caleb Brightman (Pawling, N.Y.
) were awarded a spot on the Honor Roll sheet.
For the second straight week, the Knights have earned multiple honors on the weekly report sheet extending their total to five on the year.
Martin-Gibiard recorded an unbeaten day against Division I Long Island University Friday afternoon winning at #2 doubles and #5 singles. The junior began his day helping the Knights clinch the doubles points at #2 court with teammate freshman
Adam Laur (Boulogne Billancourt, France) to the score of 7-6
(7-4) before he completed his unbeaten day by dispatching Lucas Hornung at #5 singles in straight sets to the score of 7-5, 6-3.
Brightman made his Knights debut at #6 singles and would pick up his first victory. Brightman defeated Sharks Felix Abraham in straight sets to the score of 6-2, 6-4 for his first singles victory of the year.
